Network Support Engineer required to join a fast expanding, well established Bournemouth based organisation. The Network Engineer will be based predominantly on site in Bournemouth, working within the Service Desk team.
Priority for the Network Support Engineer will be:
- To provide diagnosis and resolution of issues raised,
- Assist BAU colleagues and implementation teams with project work as required
- Manage high priority and urgent customer issues, driving them through to resolution
- Deploy new solutions and upgrade existing infrastructure across the UK based customers
The successful Network Engineer will have a complete and thorough understanding of core NETWORKING fundamentals and the OSI Model, as well as firewall configuration and internet security best practice, LAN's including (VLANSs, MAC addresses, switches) and ethernet cabling experience (copper, fibre and associated technologies)
Other key requirements and expectations will include:
- internet connectivity, FTTC, EFM, Fibre
- Multicast, IPv6, MPLS, GSM / 3G / 4G
- Ability to use scripting in the automation or regular tasks
To include a variety of additional duties, to be carried out as directed by the client and in response to customer enquiries.
