Systems Software Engineer required to join a Prestigious and expanding Dorset based company.
You will be required to undertake on-site and in-house end-to-end system test activities and to ensure software versions are tested correctly. To include Diagnose and produce comprehensive reports of faults found, and liaise with relevant representatives from the Client, Consultant or related suppliers as required.


Responsibilities:
Install, modify and configure Back Office Systems to ensure specific or generic requirements are met.
Capture customer requirements and translate to system requirements
On-site commissioning of network devices to establish system wide communication
Undertake on-site and in-house end-to-end system test activities
Conduct on-site system updates
Check the flow and integrity of transaction data
Periodically confirm that installation instructions remain accurate
Ensure software versions and system structures are as defined by the relevant design authority
Diagnose and produce comprehensive reports of faults found
Support the System Test Department when needed


candidate will have a background in Software Development and System Analysis/Configuration.
• Customer facing experience is also desired

Core skills:
• MS Windows, MS Office
• SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 experience
• Working knowledge of networking and associated protocols
• Very good knowledge of PCs, Windows and PC Networks
• Knowledge of CISCO device configuration is advantageous
• Knowledge of software development processes and best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
