Technical Support Engineer (1st / 2nd line) required to join a well established International supplier of Internet Security Services. The successful Technical Support Engineer will have extensive customer focused technical / software support experience as well as the ability to liaise with people at all levels. The focus of the Technical Support engineer will be to support all end users (Both B2B and B2C) with technical queries, faults and issues relating to Internet Security Software.
Duties will be varied and include:
- Handling technical related queries and issues from business and home users (via phone, email, online chat messaging etc)
- Providing remote support
- Troubleshooting on software products
- Virus / Malware identification and remedy
- Acting as a champion within the team, to support other members with any technical problems.
- Networking
Experience as a 1st / 2nd line support engineer will be required, in addition to the following:
- MCP, MCTS, Network or Security qualifications - ideal
- Networking experience - ideal
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Calm and patient telephone manner, with the ability and experience of dealing with customers at different levels
- Linux experience - ideal
- Mac - ideal but not essential
