HR Advisor - Bournemouth - £32k to £38k - Permanent

As HR Advisor you will support the HR Manager in the provision of a human resource management service within your designated business group. The post holder will be the main point of contact for day to day operational issues within the service area, which will include HR support for change management/service configuration, employee relations, interpretation of employment legislation, development of employment policy and procedures and planning recruitment activity.

Main Responsibilities:
Operational Human Resource Management
·Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager you will ensure best practice in operational HR management within the designated organisation through the provision of high quality, consistent, robust, proactive and timely advice to leaders, managers and staff, ensuring compliance with best practice and employment law.
·To support in the planning and implementing of cost effective recruitment and selection processes for their business unit in line with the workforce plan.
·To research and understand national and local barriers to effective recruitment and retention and proactively seek creative solutions.
·To provide HR advice on issues such as discipline, grievance, capability, harassment and employment law. To support with investigations and the preparation of statement of cases and ensure compliance with organisation policies. To be involved in and advise on complex issues as appropriate.
·To support and guide managers with the management of staff health, well-being and attendance. To ensure liaison with occupational health and compliance with policies particularly in the management of long term absences cases
·To interpret and advise on the application of terms and conditions of employment, ensuring compliance with policies, relevant terms and conditions and employment legislation.
·As advised by the HRM, to support change management processes, including the development of consultation documents and redeployment of staff at risk.
·Under the direction of the relevant HR Manager ensure a full understanding of services by working closely with relevant managers and staff for day-to-day operational matters, attending relevant service meetings and contributing to development of designated area.
·To oversee and ensure appropriate changes requested by the business unit are actioned on day-to-day operational HR matters. This will include recruitment offers, amendments to contracts, terminations, fixed term contract management and implementation of any changes to pay.
·To draft employment policies, under the guidance and direction of the Associate Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager.
