Deputyship & Direct Payments Officer required for our client in Bournemouth.

This is a customer focussed role dealing with social work staff and clients who are eligible for Adult Social Care Services.

You will liaise with a number of internal and external contacts to ensure that vulnerable adults are not financially mislead or exploited. This will include assisting them by making decisions regarding their finances where possible.
You will be responsible for Personal Budget Direct Payments and will monitor and ensure that clients and other funds are protected by monitoring their usage. You will manage your own caseload and strive to discharge the legal responsibilities of the Court. On a monthly basis reconciliation of clients bank accounts will take place, with any discrepancies investigated and resolved. On , you may be required to assist Social Workers in locating your clients financial documentation.

Annual and quarterly reviews will be undertaken, reviewing clients finances and assessing whether changes need to be made to their current arrangements. This will also include dealing with Probate matters and clients estates, in accordance with legal advice.

The ideal candidate will have strong administration and customer service skills. Part qualified AAT is beneficial but not essential.

37 hours per week.

This is a temporary role paying £9.62- £10.96 per hour.
