We are looking for a dynamic, motivated quality/production engineer who is looking for a role they can make their own, you will manage technical supplier relations, particularly with special manufacturing processes, ensuring that products and services meet the requirements of customers and quality standards.

Salary and benefits

What will you be doing?

A huge part of your role will be to liaise and work with Suppliers, developing a specialist knowledge within special manufacturing processes including heat treatments and wet surface treatments, for example anodizing etc.

Someone with a background in Aviation/Aerospace may have had some exposure to the above treatments from a supplier point of view and be able to advise on methods or ways forward. Your role would involve making sure the products and services meet customer requirements, interpret customer documentation and BoMs, specifications, drawings, sketch sheets, assembly & test schedules etc. to ensure robust manufacturing processes.A large part of your varied role would be to look at NCR process from root cause identification through to implementation of corrective actions, also managing customer changes to products and implementing these into the New Production document system.

Once in the role, you would be creating product and tooling definitions, manufacturing information and machine programmes as well as the validation of manufacturing processes.

What can you bring to the role?

To be considered for the role you will need to have a good mechanical engineering background, this could be in a hands on role where you have worked your up into a more production engineer or quality biased role.

You will need to have strong communication skills with a positive attitude, a high level of drive and a desire to learn. Do your role with suppliers, this would suit someone who is confident enough to work with suppliers and challenge processes.
