An exciting opportunity now exists to join our clinical and academic team at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy. A periodontal specialist or a dentist with special interest in periodontics is required to take a lead role in clinical delivery of the undergraduate periodontal curriculum to the Hygiene/Therapy and dental students, as well as periodontal care to patients. 

The University of Portsmouth Dental Academy champions excellence in Higher Education learning, teaching and the delivery of primary care dentistry.  The Dental Academy offers a modern purpose built training environment incorporating superb clinical and academic facilities. The Dental Academy offers a unique and innovative model of team-based education which facilitates a shared learning experience for Dental Care Professional students from the University and final year dental students from Kings College London Dental Institute.

We encourage all applications, including those without prior teaching experience. An enthusiastic approach and passion to teach clinical periodontology to Hygiene/therapy and dental students is required along with good interpersonal and clinical skills. Applicants must hold current full registration with the General Dental Council, and have professional indemnity.

The candidate selected for this position must undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check which will be provided once the selection process has been completed.
