This is an exciting time to join the University of Portsmouth as it launches its Global Engagement Strategy.

This is a senior post in a very active and high-achieving international team.  The University of Portsmouth has over 4000 overseas students from the EU and abroad.  Reporting to the International Director, this post is essential for the strategic planning and operational management of our international marketing, recruitment and admissions. The post contributes to strategy on international recruitment activity and has line management responsibility for the admissions, marketing & operations and student advice teams.

You should have proven and demonstrable work experience in the field of higher education recruitment or marketing.  You will have strong team leadership, external relations and communications skills. You will be able to demonstrate an ability to define and deliver institutional strategy and will have a deep understanding of the commercial and business imperatives which underpin our overseas work.

A thorough knowledge of international student markets is essential, as is experience in developing collaborative partnerships with institutions abroad. This position will require regular overseas travel with extended and irregular working hours, often in uncertain and unpredictable environments.
