An opportunity has arisen in the Academic Registry for an analyst with good IT skills to help us expand the range of management information we provide to the University. 

We need a technically competent self-motivated person who pays attention to detail but who also has good people skills and is committed to customer care.

You will have excellent IT skills and experience of working as an analyst, or in a related role such as business analysis.  Ideally, you will have previous experience of IT systems in a University or College setting.  Although you will report to the Principal Analyst (Registry Systems Development & Support Division) the job will require you to work extensively with colleagues across the University. These include end users, as well as senior academics and administrators in the Departments and Faculties.

The main focus of the post will be to further develop and support the use of the Business Intelligence software (‘Dashboards’), with the solutions relating, in the first instance, principally to Student Record data.  The software allows different data sources to be combined in order to meet end-user needs.  We need a skilled analyst to help us clarify and specify these needs and then seek to meet them by providing a flow of relevant management information arising from the data we hold.  The over-riding aim will be to make this management information available in easily accessible and usable formats.
