Salary £35,731 to £44,797 plus up to 3 SPAs

Based in Horsham or Worthing

29.6 hours per week

Interview date: 30th October 2017

We offer flexible working here at WSCC so please let us know your preferred working pattern and hours.

We value and support learning and development and are keen to hear from you if you are currently in your final year of training.

This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (formerly Criminal Records Bureau check)

Come and join our friendly, supportive and established team in West Sussex as an Educational Psychologist. We have office bases in Horsham and Worthing.

Our high performing service consists of area teams each managed by an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist. The Educational Psychology Service includes highly skilled and experienced teams representing Portage and Sensory Support. This enables us to provide a cohesive and effective provision to families in the area.

We host Trainee Educational Psychologists and have an Assistant Psychologist and value the opportunities this presents.

To respond to the ever increasing demand within West Sussex, we are pleased to be developing a chargeable element to our service, which will offer much needed additional provision and also broaden the range of work undertaken by our EPs.

If you are motivated and want to help shape and develop yourself and our service this could be a fantastic opportunity. We hope you would like to be part of establishing and evolving the service to move forward, whilst maintaining excellent standards of delivery on our statutory requirements.

Our office accommodation offers storage for resources in premises with conference rooms and café/restaurant facilities. Flexible and remote working arrangements actively support EP’s to optimise work schedules and encourage a healthy work/life balance. This is supported by mobile IT equipment including iPad and/or iPhone.

CPD, peer support and supervision is much valued within the service and considered as fundamental to our values and team approach.

If you would like to discuss the post informally or would like to visit us prior to application then we would be very happy to provide this opportunity.

Please give one of us a call or email:

Clare Myall Senior Educational Psychologist

Carole Kite Senior Educational Psychologist

Andrea Morgan Senior Educational Psychologist

We look forward to hearing from you.
