The Secret Linen Store is a small, fast growing online bed linen retailer run by sisters Molly and Harriet. We are growing quickly and are looking for an experienced stock controller to join our team. Based in our small office in Bognor Regis, this is a new part time role for approximately 3 days/24 hours per week. We have 2 warehouses, one in Bognor Regis, and one in Portugal. You will be primarily responsible for managing the stock of our growing range of bed linen and bedroom accessories. You will liaise with our factories in Portugal and the UK to make sure that our products are always in the right place at the right time. We are a small team, you will be our 7th member of staff. You will report to the business Operations Manager and may be required to travel occasionally. Excellent working knowledge of excel is a requirement for this role.

The role in detail:-
¨      Analyse sales and forecast stock required to maintain stock availability always.
¨      Produce purchase orders for all inventory from different suppliers, managing lead times correctly.
¨      Ensure all stock within the warehouse and in transit is monitored and recorded.
¨      Ensure that deliveries are tracked, on time and booked in in advance.
¨      Look after administration of wholesale accounts, place purchase orders and notify accounts when invoices need to be raised.
¨      Check invoices and prices are correct.
¨      Carry out spot checks on stock in.
¨      Carry out and supervise rolling weekly stocktakes and larger annual stocktakes.
¨      Assist the Operations Manager to implement new stock systems where necessary to improve efficiencies in the business.
¨      Maintain happy working relationship with our wonderful suppliers.
 
What skills you will need?
 
¨      Previous stock control experience, ideally in retail.
¨      Excellent PC skills, especially in Excel
¨      Analytical mind with high attention to detail.
¨      Excellent communication skills
¨      Willingness to get stuck in to a small team environment
 
Working Hours
 
¨      The role is 3 days per week or 24 hours.
¨      Flexible working hours must include Monday and Thursday mornings.
¨      We are happy to discuss hours to suit the right person (i.e. start times, and split of hours across days).
