We are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Management Accountant to join our Management Accounting team within the Finance Department.

The successful candidate will assist the Management Accountants, and establish effective working relationships with managers, by supporting the development and provision of management information. As part of a small team, you will have a key role in the production and consolidation of financial information for Heads of Department, University Senior Managers and Governors.

You will also support in the preparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and periodic commentary in accordance with the agreed timetable, developing reports as appropriate to meet evolving requirements e.g. variance analysis and providing input to reports to Heads of Departments.

Applicants for this post will ideally hold a relevant Degree or AAT Qualification and must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the accurate and timely processing of financial data.

A sound demonstrable understanding and experience of the finance function is essential, as are effective communication and influencing skills, which enable you to explain financial information to non-financial staff. You will have the drive and ambition to progress your career and studies within a Finance environment and support will be provided to enable your development.
