Experienced in leading Network Teams? You're familiar with Cisco and Juniper devices with proven VMware management experience.

Assisting the IT Director, as Network & Infrastructure Lead Engineer you'll act as a number 2, managing 2 Network Support Engineers, developing the IT strategy for the company. Working over multiple networks, the role will include the management and administration of the IT infrastructure of networks, servers and PCs.

What will you be doing?

• Supervise, coach and lead 2 Network Engineers
• Manage the security of all data on the network
• Assist with the long-term planning of all aspects of the computer network
• Keep up to date network logs to help analyse incidents and plan future services, minimising downtime
• Negotiate with suppliers to manage software and hardware purchasing
• Administration and support of the internet services and technology
• Maintain the IT Disaster Recovery Plan
• Procurement, build, installation, administration and support of the IT infrastructure
• Daily system checks, housekeeping and production control of routine IT activities
• Maintain documentation on all areas of the network
• Deputise for the IT Director as required, including control and resolution of escalated issues

What do you need?

• Experience leading technical teams in any of the following areas; service desk, data networks, voice, server, database, storage or application support
• Experience with High Availability and clusters
• MS operating system knowledge
• Exchange 2016+ experience
• Proven VMware management experience
• In depth networking experience including network design and full understanding of network terminology
• Cloud (AWS and/or Azure) experience

Ideally you'll also have a qualification in Cisco, Juniper Certificates or MCSA or other MS Certificates, knowledge of JuniperCisco devices (firewalls), SQL admin experience, Veeam backup software
