Accounts Assistant

An industry leading client, who has been at the forefront of their specialised sector for many years and leads through innovation, currently has a newly created opportunity for an enthusiastic and diligent Accounts Assistant to join their 8-person finance team.

This organisation is building upon several years of healthy growth and expanding its operations. They offer an attractive office environment alongside a highly supportive and welcoming team ethos.

You'll report directly into the Finance Manager and Financial Controller, working alongside several openly friendly colleagues who all work collaboratively to ensure finance deadlines are met. The focus of the role will be on accounts payable and expenses duties, but you'll also be tasked with ad hoc requests from the Finance Manager and cover for colleagues during absence.

Staff here work hard and knuckle down, but also have a good sense of humour and make work enjoyable for each other. It's a great environment for a true team player.

Candidate requirements:

Prior experience in a busy accounts team, ideally including overseeing purchase ledger

Solid knowledge of bookkeeping processes

Excellent communication and able to deal with internal and external stakeholders

Good computer software skills ideally including Sage 50

Ideally interested in or already studying towards AAT (study support can be considered)
