We are presently recruiting a new Café and Hospitality Assistant to join our team, working Weekends, Bank Holidays and Seasonal hours this includes half terms and summer holidays,  this role will play a part in supporting the expansion of the Quarry café, due to our high numbers of visitors and growing popularity.

Our open plan, bright and airy Quarry Café situated Aldingbourne Country Centre, in the beautiful south downs,  prides itself in delivering locally sourced and expertly created dishes, sharing our passion for high-quality food and having the ability to make a difference in our customer’s and clients’ day, every day!

Working in modern facilities, duties include:

      • To serve and assist customers in the cafe shop ensuring an excellent standard of customer service is maintained.
      • To operate the tills effectively and account for daily takings.
      • To ensure customers are greeted politely, with a warm welcome.
      • Maintain standards of cleanliness within the building
      • Maintain food hygiene standards
      • Support people with learning disabilities to gain skills developing their independence and leading towards employment

Our ideal candidate will have the following however training will be given to the successful candidate. 

      • 17 year of age and over 
      • Food Hygiene Qualification or being familiar with food safety standards, training will be given
      • People person with excellent communication and listening skills.
      • Excellent customer care.
      • Good team working skills.
      • Ability to maintain a safe working environment
      • A commitment to the principles of people with learning disabilities having human rights, dignity, respect, equality and an emphasis on positive outcomes for people. An understanding of how to develop arrangements that safeguard and protect people from abuse.

Due to our unique location, your own transport is an advantage, however, an informal Car Share scheme is available
